A dusting of snow in Leeds has caused chaos on the roads this morning with video footage showing vehicles at a standstill near Leeds Bradford Airport.
A video posted on Twitter shows cars stuck on the A658 Pool Bank New Road near the airport earlier this morning with vehicles sutrggling on the adverse weather. One driver could be seen abandoning his vehicle with flights at the airport delayed as a result of the snow.
Although arrivals have been able to land in the snow, traffic management system Inrix is reporting that "departures are being held due to heavy snowfall". Inrix adds that "flight tracking shows some departures are getting ready on the runway".

The Met Office has put a yellow weather warning for ice in place with chilly conditions expected throughout the day and numerous other roads in Leeds have reported delays this morning. They include the A65 New Road Side in Guiseley and Apperley Lane in Apperley Bridge.
