It’s a great day to be a beauty lover. This morning, we woke up to the news that Rhode is finally coming to Australia next month. And to keep the good times rolling, Huda Beauty has launched a pressed powder version of its cult-favourite loose powder, Easy Bake: the Easy Bake Pressed Powder.
Those of us who grew up watching beauty YouTubers in the 2016-2018 full glam, pomade brow era (beauty’s peak on YouTube, IMO) are already familiar with the OG version. The likes of James Charles, Jeffree Star and Nikkie Tutorials would ‘bake’ their faces with loose setting powder to increase its longevity, and Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Loose Powder was a common culprit we’d see on their channels.
Eight years on, Huda Beauty has come out with a pressed version. It has the same formula that we all know and love, but is better suited to setting makeup all-over. It’s supposed to blur, smooth and matte-ify for up to 12 hours, and comes in a sleek case that you can throw into your bag and bring along with you.

Founder of Huda Beauty Mona Kattan announced the launch on the beauty brand’s Instagram page. In the Reel, she acknowledged the brand’s failed attempt at doing a pressed powder formulation back in September 2023. Fans of the brand who tried the older version of the product said that they were “disappointed”, that it wasn’t “as blurring”, and straight up that “this product was not good”.
Almost three years on, and the new and improved formula is on the market.
“For everyone out there who’s been afraid of baking, this is going to be your new best friend,” Mona said in the announcement video.
The powder launched in America a couple days before Australia, so a bunch of TikTokers have been filming their first impressions already. And it’s safe to say that so far, people are impressed.
Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder: My First Impressions
I’ve been a Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder fan for a good couple years now. Ever since I picked up Pound Cake in Sephora, it was game over for any other powder. But since the pressed version has entered the chat — and is supposed to be even better — I thought I better give it a go.
While the loose powder comes in a 20g cube, the pressed powder is only 8.5g… and they’re the same price. However, pressed powder is more compact and dense, and you use less product than you do with loose powder, so it makes sense why it’s smaller.
I applied the pressed powder with a triangular puff as I always do, under my eyes and along my T-zone, and was seriously impressed with how instantly blurred and matte my skin looked. It noticeably brightened my under eyes, and smoothed out my T-zone to make it look as though I had applied a filter.

While the Easy Bake Loose Powder is matte-ifying, it’s not smoothing or blurring. I did a side-by-side comparison of the two, and while the difference wasn’t huge, I could tell that the newer powder was doing the grunt work to brighten and blue my skin, while the older version just set my makeup.
I’ve gotta say, Huda, I’m impressed! Consider me a convert.
Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Pressed Powder is available online at both Sephora and Adore Beauty. While it retails for $70 at Sephora, Adore Beauty is stocking the pressed powder for $65 (and certain shades are on sale from $42.25 RN for a limited time).
