The Road Safety Authority has issued a warning to road users as grim conditions are expected to arrive over the coming days.
The state agency advises all road users to prepare for hazardous conditions on roads and footpaths this week on the back of Met Eireann’s advisory for cold weather.
The low-pressure system expected to dominate over the next 24 hours will bring sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on roads and footpaths.
