Police have charged three people following an alleged road rage incident last month.
NSW police said about 4.30pm on Sunday, April 19, 2026, officers responded to the intersection of Edwin Land Parkway and Stringybark Drive, Jerrabomberra, about six kilometres south-east of Queanbeyan, following reports of an alleged road rage incident.
Monaro police were informed a man was allegedly armed with a plank of wood, threatened people inside a blue Volkswagen Golf.
Police will allege in court a 46-year-old female driver, known to the man, was allegedly verbally abused by two people inside the Golf, earlier that day. Officers responded to the scene, but no one was present.
A short time later, police attended a home in Jerrabomberra and spoke to a 42-year-old man.
Following inquiries into the matter, a 20-year-old man and 15-year-old girl attended Queanbeyan Police Station on April 22, 2026.
The man was charged with driving in a menacing manner. The girl was charged with two counts of behaving offensively in a public place.
They were granted conditional bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court and a children's court on June 15, 2026.
Further inquiries into the matter also saw the 42-year-old man attend Queanbeyan Police Station about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
He was issued with a court attendance notice for assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and have custody of an offensive implement in a public place, to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday, July 6, 2026, police said.
