A road was closed for several hours on after a serious crash near a football stadium in Cardiff.
The collision happened on Broad Street in the Canton area of the city shortly after 5pm on Tuesday evening. The road is located off Leckwith Road and Sloper Road, both of which run alongside Cardiff City Stadium.
Police warned motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes, but there was heavy congestion in surrounding streets.

South Wales Police said in a tweet: "We are at the scene of a serious collision on Broad St Canton. The road is currently closed in both directions between Sanatorium Road and Leckwith Rd.
"It is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and delays are expected in the area."
A later tweet posted just after 9pm confirmed the road had reopened.
Broad Street joins a busy cross roads between the Leckwith and Canton areas of the city, and traffic congestion was said to be busier than usual on Tuesday night due to a Championship fixture being held at Cardiff City Stadium between Cardiff City and Derby County.
The road was closed for around four hours after the crash. Police have not divulged any further information about the crash, or any injuries sustained, but confirmed that it was being treated as a “serious collision”.
