I'm always on the hunt for a smart yet comfortable outfit to wear in the office that doesn't compromise on style.
It can be really tough to find a set that you can wear more than once, and be able to mix and match it with different outfit options. There's nothing worse than purchasing an expensive co-ord set and only wearing it the once, until it inevitably ends up collecting dust in your wardrobe.
I'm really trying to steer away from that wasting money on outfits, so whenever I go shopping I try to find as many versatile outfits as possible. I took a trip to River Island on Church Street with the aim to find a cute outfit for the office, and I definitely succeeded.

Whilst mooching around the store, I came across an absolutely stunning petite dogtooth blazer and shorts set. The Blue Dogtooth Blazer is priced at £75 and is currently available online in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 as well as in store.
On the River Island website, the full product description describes the blazer as featuring a dogtooth print with front pockets, notched lapels, long sleeves and button fastening. My favourite thing about the blazer was by far the pattern and colour, which added just the right amount of bold to the outfit.
It had a really smart and comfortable fit, with slightly padded shoulders, and because it was in the petite section of the River Island store it didn't drown my 5'3 frame either. The Petite Blue Bouclé Shorts are currently available online priced at £37 in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 - although I'd definitely recommend sizing up if you want to be comfortable.
I usually fit into a size 12, but the size 12 shorts were a little snug to say the least. Let's just say I definitely wouldn't have been able to sit down in these shorts, which isn't a good look at all.
The shorts include side slip pockets with button fastening, but as previously mentioned, definitely size up if you actually want to be able to do up the buttons. When the blazer and the shorts are both combined, the outfit looks like something fresh from Emily in Paris, and I'm so here for it.
Of course, you don't have to wear both items of clothing together. The blazer and shorts could work just as well on their own, and are guaranteed to add a pop of colour to a bland office outfit.
As a whole, the bouclé material is relatively thick, but not too thick, and can be easily worn comfortably during the spring. The fabric is super soft and vibrant, and is perfect for this time of year.
