A rival bus company has said they are looking to launch their own night buses in Glasgow after First Glasgow announced on Monday (July 10) they will be scrapping their service at the end of the month.
McGill’s Buses, owned by Scottish billionaire brothers Sandy and James Easdale, said it was keen to ensure public transport provision in Glasgow remained available at night - but said service provision had to be financially viable.
Ralph Roberts, CEO at McGill’s Group, said: “McGill’s Group is going to examine options for providing a night bus service to Glasgow and see if we can establish a long-term plan that would be viable.
