‘Rishabh Pant had dozed off at the wheel’

DEHRADUN: Star cricketer Rishabh Pant miraculously survived a road accident – though he suffered multiple injuries – while driving his Mercedes GLE from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee early Friday.

The near-fatal accident happened at Narsan in Haridwar district, about 90km from Dehradun. The vehicle went up in flames moments later and was reduced to a mangled, simmering heap. Pant managed to escape after breaking the windscreen. Results of an MRI of the brain and spinal cord were 'normal'.
