Rio Ferdinand believes Christian Eriksen will mainly be used as a squad player during his time at Manchester United ahead of his proposed move to the club.
Eriksen has agreed to join United on a three-year contract after his short-term deal with Brentford expired at the end of last season, and official confirmation of the transfer could be announced shortly. The Denmark international is set to become Erik ten Hag's second United signing following the arrival of Tyrell Malacia earlier in the week, but Ferdinand has eased expectations on the playmaker ahead of his Old Trafford switch.
"I think Christian Eriksen, he's a squad player. He doesn't come as a starter," he told his FIVE YouTube Channel.
