Online property searches hit new record on Boxing Day with London and South East movers most active

Rightmove London East of England the South East

Rightmove recorded its busiest ever Boxing Day for website visits in December 2025, in signs of a bigger-than-usual housing market bounce.

Visits to Rightmove nearly doubled (a 93 per cent increase) between the quietest day of the year — Christmas Day — and Boxing Day, as house hunters swapped board games and Christmas treats for property searches.
