Barry Ferguson admits he is in the dark like many Rangers supporters when it comes to Ridvan Yilmaz as he floated a potential theory behind his lack of top team minutes.
The Light Blues hero admits lots of supporters, whether he is on the street or at the shops, are bringing up the name of the big money summer signing and asking why he's not involved. Like the Ibrox faithful, the former Kelty Hearts and Clyde boss is surprised over his lack of involvement since his move from Besiktas. He played the full match against Queen of the South in the Premier Sports Cup in the last 16 and he may well land another opportunity against Dundee on Wednesday night.
Borna Barisic has been a mainstay for Giovanni van Bronckhorst this term, used in the Premiership and Champions League. His form has been up and down with questions over Yilmaz regularly pitched. His lack of action has already thrown up reports of potential loan suitors from his homeland including Galatasaray.

One theory behind his lack of football from Ferguson is adapting to his new new surroundings and the league. He's still a young player and away from his family and it could be a reason behind his lack of involvement.
Speaking to Go Radio, Ferguson said: “I’ve not seen enough of him. I watched the Queen of the South game and I'm not being disrespectful, but it’s hard to judge players in that game.
“I’m surprised and a lot of Rangers fans, whether it's in the street or in the shop, are bringing up his name. What’s going on? Why’s he not playing?
“I’m in the dark like many other Rangers supporters. When you shell that sort of fee out, you expect him to be at least be pushing. Sometimes he’s not even been in the 18. Lately he’s been involved.
“But it’s a lot of money to shell out. He is young and all players take different times to adapt and maybe that’s why. He’s a young man away from his family.
“But you want to see guys play football, especially when you shell out £5million.”
Speaking about the full-back recently, Van Bronckhorst said: "For Ridvan this is a new club and country, he’s settling in really well. The beginning was a bit hard for him to get settled.
"But I see improvement in his training, he feels more settled with the players. It’s always good to see that.
"We have to see in the coming weeks that he will feature more in the team. Of course, depending on what we need in games."
