Actress Ricki Lake appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (October 19) and shared the emotional meaning behind her only tattoo.
The 54-year-old, who played Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 film Hairspray, joined hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid on the GMB sofa. She discussed her career and looked back at her self-titled 90s talk show, which she began hosting at just 24 years old.
She told Susanna of the programme: "I don't think that type of show could exist today. I just think times are different and everyone is so delicate about being divisive and having different options." The star also announced that she was launching a new podcast, Raised By Ricki, which will see her re-watch the show and discuss its cultural context.

It will also explore Ricki’s life and how she rose to stardom at such a young age. During the interview, Susanna pointed out that the 90s film star was wearing short sleeves which revealed a tattoo on her inner arm.
Ricki said that the tattoo was in honour of her late husband, who tragically died almost six years ago. The star, who is a mum-of-two, began dating jewellery designer Christian Evans 2009.
They married in April 8, 2012, but divorced around three years later. Ricki explained that the tattoo was her first and only one, adding: "My beloved husband passed away from suicide and bipolar five and a half years ago.
"And so this was his wedding vow to me that I found on the stationery after he died. And it says 'I vow to continue loving you.' It's not only a message from him, but it's a message for me to continue loving myself.
"That relationship and that loss was definitely the darkest period of my life but through it, so many gifts have come out of it. I'm now remarried and I'm very much in the happiest place I've ever been in my life."
