Richmond bin workers stop strike after only one day after pay deal

Bin workers in Richmond have stopped a planned three-week strike after one day after an improved pay offer was accepted.

Contractor Serco agreed to pay drivers of heavy goods vehicles an extra 15 per cent on Monday, leading union GMB to cut short its action.
