An emotional Richarlison has admitted his World Cup dream is in the balance after leaving Tottenham ’s stadium on crutches.
The 25-year-old looked a certainty to be included in Tite’s Selecao squad as they go in search of a record-breaking sixth world crown. But that is now in serious doubt after Richarlison suffered a calf injury during Spurs’ 2-0 win over Everton.
Coming up against the side he left in the summer, Richarlison lasted just 52 minutes before he hobbled off with the scores level. His exit saw the hosts change their shape with Yves Bissouma entering the fray and helping Antonio Conte’s side to another Premier League victory.
