Richarlison blasts Antonio Conte and admits time at Tottenham has been 's***' since Everton move

Richarlison has criticised Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte after they were dumped out of the Champions League by AC Milan in timid fashion.

Conte's side failed to reach the quarter-finals of Europe's top club competition after playing out a goalless draw with Milan in north London on Wednesday night - following a 1-0 first-leg defeat at the San Siro - and the former Everton striker was not happy at his starting place on the bench.

Richarlison was used for just the final 20 minutes of the match and afterwards he expressed his frustration with his situation and his under-pressure manager, who has admitted that his future is on the line.

Richarlison completed a £60m move to Tottenham in the summer from Everton but he yet to score for his new team in the Premier League, with his two goals in his 25 appearances - 13 of which have come from the bench - both coming in one Champions League game.

“This season, excuse the word, it’s been s***, because I don’t have minutes, I suffered a little with the injury," Richarlison told TNT Sports (via ESPN Brasil). "But, when I enter the field, I give my life. I came from two games well, I think that’s it, I think I should have played and I don’t have to cry about it.

“Yesterday (Tuesday), they asked me to take a test at the gym, that if I was good I would go to the game and, at the time of the game, they left me on the bench. These are things that it is not possible to understand.

“Let’s see what he will say tomorrow, but there are no fools here either, I’m a professional, I work every day and I want to play. There are minutes left, time left.”

Tottenham are currently in fourth place in the Premier League and are locked in a battle with Liverpool, among others, for the final Champions League spot.
