Replacements for outgoing host Richard Osman on hit TV quiz Pointless have been announced by the BBC. A series of guest presenters will take the helm of the popular gameshow working with Alexander Armstrong.
Initially those who will cover as special guests hosts include Sally Lindsay, Alex Brooker, Lauren Laverne, Stephen Mangan, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble have all been confirmed. Richard Osman will continue to host future series of Pointless Celebrities as well as hit BBC Two show, Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Osman announced his departure amid issues juggling his TV commitments with writing his successful Thursday Murder Club series of crime novels. Osman is introduced in every episode as Armstrong's "Pointless friend". He sits at a desk behind a laptop and his role is to provide additional data and trivia about the correct answers.
