Richard Madeley was back on Good Morning Britain today, complete with awkward joke aimed at Prince Harry and Piers Morgan.
The 65-year-old joined Susanna Reid on the ITV show alongside royal editor Chris Ship as they spoke about the Duke of Sussex's upcoming book.
His bombshell memoir is set to "shake the monarchy to the core", with some sources suggesting he could deepen his rift with his brother and father by "going after" Camilla, who is he reportedly "can't stand".
Richard asked Chris: "One does wonder [about] those pictures of that very brief contact between Harry and Meghan and the royals during the Jubilee weekend - maybe that will be the very last time that will happen?
"With that book that Prince Harry is writing or ghosting or however he's putting it together, which is meant to have contained explosive stuff that makes the interview with Oprah Winfrey look like a cosy chat!"
"Well, we know how controversial that interview with Oprah Winfrey was - not least on this programme," Chris replied. "The book is due out in autumn, it's coming out with lots of other books, ready for the big Christmas market. It's going to be a big deal.
"With the book at the moment, they're deciding what to leave in and what to take out and I think that's one of the big issues going on between Harry and his publishers at the moment. But the book's coming and we'll be talking about that on this programme in the autumn."
Richard quipped: "And maybe someone will walk out! Who knows?"
As the backstage crew could be heard laughing, Susanna retorted: "No, they already walked out!"
The presenter had, of course, been referring to Piers' now infamous storming out of the studio following a row with Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle.
Later that day Piers quit the ITV show after bosses called for him to apologise for comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex.
