Rhod Gilbert announced he is pushing back his tour dates as he needs additional surgery following his cancer treatment.
The comedian shared the news of his cancer diagnosis in July. At the time he said: "I noticed lumps started popping up in places they shouldn't be. It turns out I've got stage four cancer."
The 54-year-old told fans he would be "disappearing for a while" for treatment at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.

On Tuesday, Rhod said he has been suffering from gallstones and constant infections and needed surgery early next year. He was due to perform in January but had to postpone seven of the shows, the Mirror reports.
Gigs at locations including Swansea and Bath will now take place in the summer of next year instead. In a heartfelt Facebook post, Rhod said: "Thanks again for all your kind words and support. As you probably know I’m recovering well from my cancer treatment and can’t wait to get back to work next year. Happy days.
“Less happy days, I’ve been thrown another curveball in the form of gallstones and recurring gallbladder infections that kick like a donkey and need hospital treatment. I am having surgery to remove the offending gallbladder, and this is scheduled to happen early in the New Year.
“So I hate doing this, but I am going to have to postpone my January tour shows. I genuinely can’t wait to get back on stage, but on doctor’s advice, I’ll have to wait a little longer and we are postponing the remaining 7 shows.”
Last week, he provided fans with an update on his treatment and said he's 'optimistic' about making a full recovery. He explained that he is "recovering well" just five months after sharing that he was being treated at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, having been diagnosed two months prior to his announcement.
Before his diagnosis, Rhod had been a patron of the centre but has now had surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
