LUCKNOW: Chairing his first high-level review meeting with senior officials after assuming charge for his second term, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday issued directives to officials to take effective mesaures avert fire incidents in the state.
“Many states saw fire outbreaks in hospitals amid Covid-19 pandemic. Elaborate arrangements made by us helped in avoiding any such incident in UP. However, we must maintain caution and carry out physical review of fire safety arrangements at all places,” the CM said.
He directed the officials to utilize the Integrated Command Control Centres (ICCCs), which contributed significantly towards Covid-19 management, to keep round-the-clock vigil on fire safety management so that in case of any deficiency or disturbance, the system is rectified with immediate effect.
The ICCCs, which are functional in all the districts, will also provide help to people in times of natural calamities, extreme weather conditions and floods.
The CM also instructed officials to bring down the emergency response time to 15 minutes in rural areas and 7 minutes in urban areas.
The government is also working to provide fire tender with modern facilities in all the tehsils. This will not only give a substantial boost to fire and rescue services forces in the state, but will also enable in controlling such incidents.
