BBC's Reunion Hotel tugs at the heartstrings as people connected to Wales reunite with important figures from their past. Hosted by The One Show's Alex Jones and filmed at Iscoyd Park in Wrexham, in the second episode we see ex-heroin addict, Simon, emotional reunite with Stuart, the addiction clinic worker who helped Simon recover from his alcohol and drug abuse.
Welsh Simon appeared on the show as he wanted to thank Stuart for all his help in his recovery and see him for the first time as a sober and fully recovered man. While in recovery, Simon and Stuart connected through their love of the same music, particularly Irish band The Waterboys, famed for their track, The Whole of the Moon.
It took Simon 10 years to fully recover from his addiction and Stuart has never seen Simon clean and not addicted to drugs and alcohol. Simon said: "Stuart met me at my worst, the most wretched version of Simon, homeless, heroin addict, petty thief, full of self-loathing and despair. Stuart demonstrated compassion, Stuart had this way of plucking you out of that pit of despair."

Speaking about seeing Stuart again Simon said it would be "emotional" and Stuart said he felt "humble" that Simon wanted to see him again. Stuart said: "I knew beneath all that drug abuse was a really really beautiful guy...you keep your professional guards up all the time and sometimes someone sneaks through because you are human."
Stuart said he didn't know why Simon was thanking him as it was Simon who did the "hard work" and "overcame his demons", Stuart said: "I just held his hand for a bit along the way." It was a very moving moment when Stuart and Simon met again as they shared an emotional embrace.
Simon said to Stuart: "Thank you for seeing me at my worst, my worst version of me, and then again, and then again." Stuart also gave Simon a very moving birthday present.
When Simon was in recovery he gave Stuart a The Waterboys CD, which was meant to have two CDs in the cover. However, there was only one as a recovering Simon admitted to Stuart he had sold one of the CDs for heroin.
Now he is fully recovered in an emotional moment Stuart gave Simon back the CD, with both CD discs inside, as now he is completely recovered.
Also in latest episode Welsh girlband, The Fabs, met up with a Swedish boyband they connected with back in the Swinging Sixties.
Reunion Hotel airs on Thursday, April 18 at 8pm on BBC One Wales and 8pm on BBC Two elsewhere.
