Yesterday was the long-awaited return of the Cleveland Browns fan-favorite running back. Nick Chubb was a limited participant in his first practice since his devastating knee injury last season.
He was only seen participating in individual drills, but still a very exciting sign of the hopes for his return. Before today’s practice, Chubb took the podium this afternoon to answer some questions about how he was feeling in his return to the football field.
“It’s like riding a bike,” Chubb said. “Once you’re out there and running around, it’s like you’re 8 years old.” Even though the Browns star might feel comfortable and excited to be back, both he and the team know it will be a slow process. The last thing anyone wants is for him to be rushed back when he is not ready.
The Browns will be sure that Chubb is making confident progress while being cautious at the same time. We’ll see how much practice time he gets in his second practice session this afternoon.
