Returning midfielder Josh Archer says he wants to "repay the club's faith" in him after agreeing a contract extension with Linfield.
The 19-year-old has penned a three-year deal with the Blues after returning from a successful loan spell with Portadown last season.
A number of Premiership clubs were interested in recruiting Archer but he it determined to push on at Windsor Park and fight for a place in David Healy's starting XI.

"I am delighted to have signed this new contract with Linfield," he told the club website.
"I learned a lot from my loan spell at Portadown and now look forward to challenging for a place in the Linfield first team and repaying the club's faith in me.”
Boss Healy believes Archer has benefited from his spell at Shamrock Park and be in a position to push for a starting spot.
"He’s had a year long loan spell at Portadown and will come back to fight for a place in our squad, having benefited from the experience he’s picked up at Shamrock Park," he said.
"Josh is a young player with a lot of potential and he will be more than familiar with the surroundings, so he will settle straight back in again with our pre-season preparations."
