A tournament which could benefit the long-term futures of Arsenal and West Ham will be returning to the schedule after a two-year hiatus.
The Premier League International Cup, which offers the chance for players from clubs that don't regularly qualify for international competitions, is set to take place this season and English clubs already know their opponents.
With 12 English sides, primarily U21 and B/development teams, alongside 12 international clubs, there will be a group stage and knockout tournament to give the experience of European competition not previously accessible to these players and teams.
