Retro goalkeeper shirt advertised in Ibrox 125 Heritage collection 'not for sale'

A retro goalkeeper kit promoted in Rangers' launch of their 125 Heritage collection won't be for sale despite being advertised, according to a report.

It has been claimed the shirt - modelled by Jack Butland in single and group promo images - will not be stocked by Rangers for retail purposes.

Rangers have announced the kit - which is a tribute to the 125 years at Ibrox - will be worn by the first-team in December.

However, while supporters can purchase the retro shirt for outfield players, the goalkeeper kit is not visible on the club shop website.

The outfield long sleeve shirt has already sold out on Rangers' site but the short sleeve version is still listed as available to purchase for £75. Women's and junior sizes are also still available.

But there is no avenue for the goalkeeper kit to be purchased with 'Four Lads Had A Dream' revealing the retail stance on the shirt.

A post by the Heart & Hand Rangers podcast read: "Is it just me being thick or is the goalie top not on sale?"

Citing a response from Castore, Four Lads Had A Dream posted: "@ibroxrocks Answer - ‘Rangers have said that sadly they won't be retailing the goalkeeper kit’.

"Sorry bud."

Unveiling the kit, a Rangers statement read: "Celebrate 125 years of history at Ibrox with the Rangers Ibrox 125 Kit – a tribute to the stadium that has witnessed so many of the club’s greatest moments.

"This special collection honours the legacy of our home by blending a timeless design with modern performance.

"Embroidered with our earliest scroll monogram crest, the design is instantly recognisable and a nod to the club's heritage and passion.

"A subtle tribute of the 1899 – 2024 anniversary adheres below the crest, complemented with the addition of Archibald Leitch’s famous criss-cross balustrade on the socks. A design which sits across the mid-tier of the Bill Struth Stand.

"Be part of this historic milestone with this very limited-edition kit which will be worn on the pitch in December."
