Three-time gold medalist Shaun White revealed ‘orgies, parties and horny athletes’ run wild inside the Winter Olympic village in a resurfaced video from years ago.
The American snowboarder crashed out of his final run on Friday, ensuring there will be no fairytale ending as he calls time on his illustrious career. White had previously won gold in Pyeongchang in 2018, Vancouver in 2010 and Torino in 2006.
Today at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, White went into his final run having finished fourth in the first two jumps but stumbled at his final attempt to derail his bid for a fourth gold.
It has been some career for the American, and before his success in the South Korea in 2018, White gave a juicy insight into life behind the scenes in the athletes village.
Back in 2017 - before he had claimed his third career Olympic gold - White was questioned over the alleged behaviour inside the official Winter Olympic Village.
The 35-year-old was asked who the ‘horniest athletes’ were by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live , to which he answered Cross Country before insisting Team USA throw the best room parties.
Cohen then questioned White if he thought others might be watching and recording what is going down, the Olympic star said: “Yes, but we liked it.”
He went on to ‘plead the fifth’ however, when asked if he has had sex in an Olympic village.
Cohen quizzed White if he had ever heard of an ‘Olympic village orgie’, to which the snowboarder said he had.
When the American was asked who the craziest party animals are, White declared it was ‘the Australians’.
White also revealed that he shared rooms with teammates - and the accommodation he had experienced in (2006 Turin, 2010 Vancouver, 2014 Sochi) were not particularly nice.
In 2018, White went on to pip teenager Ayumu Hirano to first place with a sensational final run to become the first snowboarder in history to win three Olympic titles.
In Beijing though, Hirano upgraded his silver four years earlier to gold, while silver went to Australia’s Scotty James and Jan Scherrer secured bronze.
As White took in the applause from the adoring crowd, he was hugged by competitors as the legendary competitor steps away from the Olympic arena.
White added: “All my fellow competitors were so kind, a lot of them patted me on the back and told me that the tricks in the sport wouldn't be where it is today without my pushing and I want to thank them for having me and supported me and let me do my thing.”
