Retaining intensity holds the key in long season, says Bengal's batting consultant WV Raman

KOLKATA: It had been so near yet so far for Bengal as the team ended up as runners-up and lost in the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy in the last two domestic seasons.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) decided to go for a complete overhaul of the team’s coaching staff this season bringing in Laxmi Ratan Shukla as the new coach and naming WV Raman as the side’s batting consultant for this season.
