Leeds United are predicted to finish 13th in the Premier League this season by the CIES Football Observatory.
The Whites are unbeaten in their first three Premier League games, and after an impressive start, they are being tipped for a comfortable mid-table finish. A 13th-placed finish would be a four-place improvement on last term, where Leeds ended the campaign one place above the relegation zone after surviving in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season.
Based on the evidence so far this season, Leeds supporters will feel as though a mid-table finish is within their grasp.
The CIES Football Observatory makes table predictions for the top 23 divisions of UEFA member associations. Their predictions are carried out from a statistical model including teams’ performances over the two previous seasons, current players’ experience capital and clubs’ transfer market expenditure.

They predict Leeds to steer well clear of the relegation battle that they were in the midst of last season. AFC Bournemouth, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are the three sides tipped to go down to the Championship.
Elsewhere, Manchester City are predicted to win their third successive Premier League title, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur making up the same top four as last term.
Arsenal and Manchester United are again tipped to finish in the Europa League spots, with West Ham United in the Europa Conference League.
