Rahul Gandhi on Monday asked Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign and turn approver, while addressing the media over the issues surrounding SIR and alleged police brutality over the weekend in the national capital.
He said Kumar was not the "mind behind" the wrongdoing and that "bigger powers" were behing him. He said this ahead of the INDIA bloc's march to the Supreme Court to file a petition over irregularities in the functioning of the Election Commission. The march is currently underway.
