A Treasury inquiry is underway after a series of “very damaging” leaks in the run up to the Budget, the Chancellor has confirmed.
Rachel Reeves has been urged to resign over the chaos in the run up to her financial statement last month, which culminated in the contents of her entire Budget accidentally being published by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) on the morning before she delivered it to the country.
