Residents on Rochdale street can get free Deliveroo order as Neighbours finale airs

The TV soap Neighbours is airing its grand finale after 37 years of entertaining audiences this Friday. And to mark the occasion, a delivery service is offering residents on one Greater Manchester street a free takeaway.

Deliveroo is giving away free food to Brits who live on selected real-life Ramsay Street addresses in the UK, including one in Rochdale.

The street name is famous for being the fictional cul-de-sac in which the characters from the famous Aussie soap live, but there are also 10 Ramsay Streets in the UK, too.

Four of the 10 are served by Deliveroo, including two Ramsay Streets in Dundee, one in Clackmannanshire, and one in Rochdale. And those living on the street can apply for the chance to win £10 credit to redeem on a takeaway of their choice.

There are 300 Deliveroo credit vouchers to be won, to the value of £10 each, and winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries who apply between now and 11.59pm on Friday night.

Aisha Jefferson at Deliveroo said: “Neighbours has been loved by the UK since 1985, so it felt right to pay homage to the hotly anticipated finale and treat those who live on the famous street’s namesake to a delicious meal on us.

“If you live on one of the selected Ramsay Streets, you can win the chance to enjoy free food while watching the final instalment. You could even share the freebie with your neighbour, after all, everybody needs good neighbours…”

Those who live on one of the participating Ramsay Street addresses in the UK can head to deliveroo.co.uk/more/ramsay-street to apply for the free credit. Entrants must supply their full name, email address, and the first line and postcode registered to their Deliveroo account.

A star-studded line-up of past and present cast expected to feature in the final episode, with Brits around the UK ready to enjoy a trip down memory lane and watch the show one last time.
