Families have been handed the keys at a new-build social housing development in West Lothian.
Delighted tenants have moved into the homes in Linlithgow with Cala Homes (East) having handed over the 14 homes at its Queenswood development to Wheatley Homes East. The homes are a mix of semi-detached and cottage flats.
Michael McCormack, Site Manager with Cala Homes (East) said: “To be able to secure planning, complete the construction and fit out of affordable housing in an area where it is massively in-demand is very rewarding.
“It’s excellent to see that tenants so far are delighted with the finished product and location and we’re very happy to have been able to be a key part of that. It marks another highly successful partnership between Cala and Wheatley Group.”
Each home benefits from solar panels, access to electric vehicle charging and is built with the latest materials to reduce energy usage.
Frank McCafferty, Wheatley Group Director of Repairs and Assets, added: “We are committed to working with our partners across the sector to increase the supply of much-needed affordable homes.
“There’s a real need for affordable housing in the area and I know our tenants will enjoy living in these modern, spacious, energy-efficient homes.”
