Rescuers who saved dog from Ben Nevis after it ‘ate cannabis’ thanked by owner

  • A Labrador named Tokyo was rescued from Ben Nevis last weekend after collapsing during a walk.
  • Vets suspect the dog ingested discarded cannabis found on the UK's highest mountain.
  • Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team carried the "usually very fit and active working dog" down the mountain on a stretcher.
  • Tokyo has since made a full recovery after receiving treatment at Crown Vets in Fort William.
  • The dog's owner, Christina Bluhme, thanked the rescue team and issued a warning to other dog owners about discarded toxic substances in outdoor areas.
