With McCormick's victory, Pennsylvania will now have senators from different parties representing the state for the next four years. This outcome adds a layer of political diversity to the state's representation in the Senate, as Democratic Sen. John Fetterman secured his first six-year term by defeating Mehmet Oz, a well-known television personality, in the 2022 election.
