If you’re going to make appearances across multiple US news channels, all on the same subject, then it’s probably important that you maintain some consistency in your opinions.
Unfortunately for one Republican, they didn’t think of that when they made conflicting points on vaccinations on Fox News and CNN.
South Carolina representative Nancy Mace appeared on the controversial news network – that’s Fox, by the way – on Sunday morning and said: “In some studies that I’ve read, natural immunity gives you 27 times more protection against future Covid infection than a vaccination.
“So we need to take all of the science into account and not selectively choosing what science to follow,” she added.
OK, so Ms Mace – whose name is not Cockney rhyming slang for ‘mistake’ – seems to be team anti-vaxx in terms of whether you get a life-saving vaccine, or expose yourself to a harmful virus for “natural immunity”.
Yet if you only watched CNN, you’d be forgiven for thinking the politician had a different view on vaccines entirely.

As the broadcaster displayed a video of her getting vaccinated, Ms Mace said: “I have been a proponent on vaccinations and wearing masks when you need to. We had the delta variant raging in South Carolina, I wrote an op-ed to my community.
“I have worked with our state department of health, I’ve run ads encouraging my district to go and get vaccinated, and when we have these variants and we have these spikes to take every precaution – from washing your hands to wearing your N95 or K95 mask more than the medical masks.
“There is a statistically significant number of people that are protected from Covid when they wear those masks,” she said.
When viewing the two clips side-by-side – one Twitter user made a video which allowed us to do just that – you can understand why Ms Mace is on the oversight committee.
Others on the social media platform also ridiculed the Republican’s mishap:

In a decent world, this one short video would result in the complete decimation of her political career.

She could’ve at least changed her shirt to make it look like it was two different days or something.

Nancy Mace's theme song is "Both Sides, Now".

It's even better when you consider she is wearing the same dress on both TV hits.

Now we’re left wondering if this will leave a Dent in her political career…
