One of the biggest question marks for the 49ers heading into the NFC championship game against the Detroit Lions will be whether WR Deebo Samuel can suit up to play.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday, Samuel has a 50-50 chance to play after injuring his shoulder in the divisional round vs. the Packers.
It’s unclear exactly what the injury is. Earlier this season in Week 6 a hairline fracture to the shoulder forced Samuel to miss all of that game and the next two before returning after the bye week.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday will speak with reporters and could have a more definitive update on the exact ailment and timeline Samuel and the 49ers are looking at.
