On Oct. 18, the Golden State Warriors will unveil their new banner and receive rings for winning the 2022 NBA championship on the opening night of the NBA season against the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, the Warriors have business to handle before getting there.
On Wednesday, reports surfaced of an incident between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole at practice. Two days later, a video was released of Green and Poole’s altercation at practice. Obtained and released by TMZ, the footage shows Green connecting with a punch to Poole’s head. Since its release, the video has gone viral, garnering millions of views.
Along with handing out potential discipline for Green, the Warriors are reportedly investigating how the video from practice was leaked.
According to Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Warriors are taking “every legal course of action” and “aggressively investigating” the release of the video.
