The Tennessee Titans are reportedly expected to start quarterback Will Levis in Week 8 in place of injured quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans are preparing Levis to start against the Atlanta Falcons, which would mark his NFL debut after being drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft.
On Tuesday, head coach Mike Vrabel said both Levis and Malik Willis would play if Tannehill were to be ruled out. That means the Titans will likely have a package of plays for the Liberty product, but clearly Levis will be the primary quarterback for the contest, as he should be.

Willis came on in relief of Tannehill in Week 6 but struggled mightily and showed all of the same issues we’ve seen him have since entering the league.
Based on that and the team’s 2-4 record, it only made sense for the Titans to see what they have in their other young signal-caller, who they hope will be the answer under center for the long haul.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Titans do once Tannehill is healthy enough to play. That will likely depend upon how Levis performs and where the Titans sit in the standings upon Tannehill’s return.
