While the Houston Texans are supporting receiver John Metchie off the field with his battle with leukemia, the business of pro football continues.
According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, the Texans visited with former Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts receivers Chester Rogers.
Rogers was with the Titans in 2020 after spending training camp with the Miami Dolphins. The Titans kept Rogers on their practice squad, and he did not make his first appearance with the team until Week 1 the following year.
With the Titans, Rogers caught 30 passes for 301 yards and a touchdown.
When Rogers was with the Colts, he produced 111 catches for 1,221 yards and five touchdowns through 53 games, 22 of which he started.
The Texans could use a slot receiver, and Rogers fits the bill at 6-0, 184 pounds.
