Report: Robert Woods Agrees to Two-Year Deal With Texans

Robert Woods is reportedly signing a two-year, $15.25 million deal with the Texans, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Woods will receive $10 million fully guaranteed on his new deal with a potential max value of $17 million.

The former Titans and Rams wide receiver comes to Houston after spending last season in Tennessee. Woods tallied career-low numbers during the 2022 season., recording 53 catches for 527 yards and two touchdowns while playing in all 17 games.

Woods was due to make $13.75 million in the '23 season while carrying just a $2.6 million dead cap hit. However, the Titans released him in February

Prior to his time with Tennessee, Woods spent five years with the Rams, recording 367 receptions for 4,626 receiving yards—including two 1,000-plus receiving yard seasons—and 23 touchdowns. When Woods was cut by the Titans, Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was recruiting Woods for a potential return to Los Angeles.

Instead, Woods joins a Texans’ squad that is in search of its next quarterback to lead the offense in the 2023 under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans.
