The Los Angeles Rams re-signed Demarcus Robinson this offseason, keeping him in the mix alongside Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. However, they could still be in the market for another big-time receiver.
After Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Rams are showing interest in Washington’s Rome Odunze, Dianna Russini of The Athletic shared a tidbit on Monday about the Rams’ interest in Mike Evans.
According to Russini, the Rams were among the teams eyeing Evans as a free-agent target before he re-signed with the Buccaneers. Evans never got to the open market but it seems the Rams were prepared to make a push for the Bucs star.
Multiple teams had Mike Evans on their free agent WR board and were hoping to land him in free agency. Based on several team sources: Titans, Rams, Chiefs, Patriots, Giants, Panthers, Falcons, and Jaguars.

Evans’ new deal with Tampa Bay is worth $52 million for just two seasons, so he got a sizable contract to remain with the team that drafted him. There’s no question Evans is one of the best wideouts in the NFL still and it’s interesting that the Rams may have been willing to sign him.
Odell Beckham Jr., Michael Pittman Jr. and Calvin Ridley are all among the other top receivers in free agency, so the Rams could be a team to watch in that market, as well as the first two days of the NFL draft.
