The New England Patriots are continuing their pre-draft visits, and a newly-scheduled one has local ties. The organization is scheduled to visit with Harvard running back Aidan Borguet, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
Borguet was a key component of the Crimson’s rushing attack last season. He carried the ball 203 times for 1,170 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also made an impact in the passing game, recording six receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown. The New Jersey native had seven games of over 100 yards, including a 163-yard effort against Cornell back in October.
Running back depth is a focus for New England in this draft, and they have shown interest in some of the top running backs of this class. Adding depth could be important, following the departure of Damien Harris to the Buffalo Bills. They did address the position a bit, signing running back James Robinson, but a younger piece in the backfield could help New England at the position.
