Report: Nets Trade Jae Crowder to Bucks for Cache of Draft Picks

It’s been a whirlwind 12 hours for veteran NBA forward Jae Crowder.

Early Thursday morning, he was a part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kevin Durant from the Nets to the Suns. Now, he’s been traded again, this time to the Bucks for five second-round draft picks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. A third team involved in the deal, the Pacers, acquired forward Jordan Nwora and center Serge Ibaka from Milwaukee. Indiana also will receive two second-round picks.

Crowder, playing in his 10th NBA season, averaged 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 67 games for the Suns last season. He hasn’t played this season while Phoenix sought to trade him. Crowder played in the 2020 and ’21 NBA Finals for Miami and Phoenix, respectively.

Nwora, in his third pro season, averaged 6.0 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 38 games for Milwaukee this season. Ibaka, a 14-year NBA veteran, averaged 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 16 games for the Bucks this season.

In a separate deal, Indiana acquired point guard George Hill from Milwaukee, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hill, a 15-year veteran, averaged 5.0 points and 2.5 assists in 35 games this season.
