Lakers star LeBron James is once again adding to his off-court business portfolio.
According to a report from Front Office Sports, James is in talks to create a Netflix series around the lives of NBA players that would be similar to Quarterback, which was released on the platform this summer.
James is reportedly working with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, as well as the Obama family’s Higher Ground Productions on the series.
The first season of Quarterback featured Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota (when he was a member of the Falcons last season), Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
James has been active throughout his career in off-court ventures with his longtime friend and business partner Maverick Carter. James is already an executive producer in HBO’s The Shop, so a film production featuring NBA stars would not be entirely new for him.
It remains to be seen who James would feature in the series, but it’s clear that NBA fans will likely be getting their fix with a new documentary sooner rather than later.
