Sixers center Joel Embiid suffered a sprained knee during Game 3 vs. the Nets and will miss Game 4 on Saturday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne report. Philadelphia is hopeful he can return sometime next week.
Embiid had a hectic game on Thursday night, which included committing a flagrant foul for kicking Nic Claxton, but played in 38 total minutes and finished the game. He scored just 14 points and 10 rebounds, as Tyrese Maxey and James Harden led the team to the victory.
Since the Sixers are up 3–0 on the Nets in the series, they will likely be cautious with Embiid’s injury. If Philadelphia wins on Saturday, they will clinch a spot in the next round and allow Embiid to rest until the first game of the next series.
