Report: Giants’ Wan’Dale Robinson expected to play vs. 49ers

New York Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who is currently listed as questionable, is expected to make his season debut on Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers.

NFL Insider Jordan Shultz reports that Robinson will be activated for the first time since suffering a torn ACL against the Detroit Lions in Week 11 of last season.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound Robinson was a second-round pick of the Giants in the 2022 NFL draft. He had a slow start to his rookie campaign before hauling in nine receptions for 100 yards against the Lions prior to his knee injury.

Robinson finished last season with 23 receptions for 227 yards and one touchdown in six games.

Although the Giants appear relatively deep at wide receiver, Robinson’s speed and shiftiness will be a welcomed addition. He provides yet another capable target for quarterback Daniel Jones and should be a concern for opposing defensive coordinators.

It’s unlikely Robinson will see significant time in his first game back but there will undoubtedly be a package or two for him. Expect him to see between 12-16 snaps on offense.
