Former Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Antonio Dennard was shot and killed at age 32 early Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.
Dennard was pronounced dead at 3:15 a.m. ET on Sunday after a shooting in front of a bar in Muhlenberg Township, Pa, the county coroner’s office told WFMZ.
The Jaguars signed Dennard as an undrafted free agent after the 2012 NFL Draft and added him to the practice squad at the end of training camp. Dennard later spent time with the New York Giants and was on the Green Bay Packers practice squad. He eventually rounded out his professional football career in the Arena Football League.
Prior to his time in the NFL, Dennard played four seasons at NAIA’s Langston University.
Dennard’s death was ruled a homicide and is currently being investigated by Muhlenberg Township police, authorities told WFMZ.
