The 2023 Western Conference postseason started with a boom.
The sixth-seeded, veteran-led Golden State Warriors met the young, third-seeded Sacramento Kings in a fiery first-round battle between Northern California rivals.
After a back-and-forth series, the series came down to a winner-take-all Game 7 in Sacramento. Behind an historic performance from Steph Curry, the Warriors eliminated the Kings, 4-3.
Heading into the new season, all eyes will be on the Warriors and Kings when they meet again for their first regular-season playoff rematch. With the new 2023-24 schedule set to be released on Thursday, the first battle for Nor. Cal reportedly has a date.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors and Kings will play on Oct. 27 in Sacramento. The game at Golden 1 Center is set for national television, per Charania.
