The Eagles and 31 other NFL teams have started trimming down their rosters, and after releasing Max Scharping, Andrew DiCecco reports that the team is waiving Austin Watkins Jr.
The moves come ahead of Tuesday’s 53-man roster deadline.

The 25-year-old wide receiver spent the 2023 season with Cleveland’s practice squad.
Watkins caught 16 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns for the Browns in their three preseason outings and had a dominant game against Philadelphia.
