Report: Eagles waive DB Andre Sam ahead of 53-man roster deadline

We predicted Andre Sam would make the Eagles practice squad, and that projection is likely to come true after the undrafted rookie waived on Monday.

Andrew DiCecco reports that Philadelphia made the move with the desire to bring him back on the practice squad.

The #Eagles are waiving S Andre’ Sam, per source.

My understanding is the plan is to bring Sam back on the practice squad, provided he clears waivers.

Sam (5-11, 191 pounds) jumped from FCS after starting his career in 2017 at McNeese State, where he was selected First Team All-Southland Conference twice. Sam transferred to Marshall for the 2022 season before spending last year at LSU. Overall, he played 58 games in college, registering 144 tackles, ten pass defenses, and nine interceptions.
