Report: Eagles vs. 49ers won’t be flexed to Sunday Night Football in Week 13

One of the most highly-anticipated games of the NFL season is slated for Week 13 when the San Francisco 49ers head to The City of Brotherly Love for a rematch of the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Although the Eagles and 49ers matchup will boast a long list of storylines coming off their battle in last season’s NFC Championship game, the Week 13 contest reportedly won’t headline primetime.

According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, 49ers vs. Eagles isn’t expected to be flexed to Sunday Night Football. Instead, the matchup will stay with Fox in the 1:25 p.m. PT time slot. Fox is able to protect one game on their network each week from being flexed.

In January, the 49ers suffered a 31-7 loss to the Eagles in the NFC Championship after Brock Purdy had to leave the game due to an elbow injury.

Barring a flex to another game in Week 13, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to Lambeau Field for a Sunday Night Football contest against the Green Bay Packers.
